I did make it out to that disc golf this morning. I ended up being a fourth for 3 guys that were starting just as I got there. It’s a good thing, too. Like many disc golf courses, it’s a little difficult to follow. I did have a map, so I guess it wouldn’t have been that bad.
Compared to my home course, this one has long holes. That doesn’t jive too well with my wimpy throws. Luckily I was throwing so badly that the disc was landing on edge and rolling (usually in the correct direction). So, I was at least able to hang with their worst guy.
This course also EATS discs. Two were lost to the bayou in our group. It’s funny. When I first got there, I checked out the rec. center that was supposed to have disc golf supplies. They had some discs, and I purchased a putter. The weird part was that all the discs were 8 dollars. After playing a round, I figured it out. These must be discs that were found by the staff in the muck and deep woods. I was wondering why my disc looked pretty used
Oh yeah, I totally went ankle deep into the gunk on the first whole. My shoe is now….well… gross. I guess it’s just dirt now, but I just bought these shoes a couple months ago
Oh well.
Once I was done playing I ate lunch and took off toward Florida. Here you see the first crossing.
